INVITED-TRIAL GUIDE · UPDATED 15 October 2026

Prepare your ReclaimStation demonstration and trial

Start with sample returns and parts, then agree one product family, named responsibilities and checked devices for an invited trial.

This guide describes the trial scope. Access and the workflow supported for your site are agreed before the trial starts.

Practise before opening

Ask for a guided demonstration of the actual application with sample returns and parts. An invited organisation can practise in a separate sample site, clearly marked as sample data, before its production opening.

Choose the first product family

Start with one site and one product family whose parts are worth recovering, with someone who can say which parts may be reused and how they are checked. The first set-up needs:

  • The products and the parts you recover from them, with their part codes and revisions.
  • Your approved recovery and check methods, with their limits.
  • Which recovered parts may go into which builds or repairs.
  • How you record ownership and permission to reuse a returned unit's parts.

Give people the right role

An organisation administrator arranges named access in SmartFACT Accounts. Operators receive returns, recover, check, reserve and fit parts. Supervisors release parts and handle holds, concerns and corrections. Authors draft templates and reuse rules, and a different reviewer approves them. The owner sets the site up and does not release parts.

Agree the live checks

Before real returns are recorded, agree the trial dates, support and recovery arrangements. Check the actual browser, scanner and camera at each station, and check the PrintStation destination, label size and printed QR codes on your printer. Access is arranged after these checks, not automatically when the form is sent.

Keep enquiry data general

Use the enquiry form to describe the problem. Do not send customer names, serial lists, test results or credentials there. We agree a suitable route for set-up data during onboarding.

Practise with the real screens

Practise reserving released parts, responding to held parts and unknown labels, releasing checked parts and recording a source concern, using made-up returns and parts.

Read the guides on any device. Interactive demonstrations run on a desktop or laptop, with the appropriate desktop or handheld view.
